High School Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to support high school students across a variety of learning environments during the 2026-2027 school year in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on helping students build the academic, social, and life skills they need to succeed after graduation. The position involves designing and delivering individualized, evidence-based instruction that connects academic concepts to real-life situations, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate documentation for IEP implementation and state compliance. A key aspect of this role is partnering with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to foster a cohesive and supportive learning environment, as well as maintaining a structured, positive classroom that promotes student engagement and emotional safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Knowledge of Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (EEEI)
