About The Position

The High School Spanish Teacher educates and manages students, helping them develop subject knowledge and skills and fulfill their potential. The teacher develops and implements creative, engaging lessons and supports students in becoming mature, capable, and responsible individuals prepared to shape tomorrow. The position contributes to the district’s priorities of student success, safety and well-being, stewardship of community resources, and community connection.

Requirements

Hold a valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate, or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in Arizona.
Possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Pass a background clearance check.
Obtain and maintain a valid government-issued ID.

Responsibilities

Manage and educate students while helping them discover and fulfill their potential.
Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans.
Document and share student grades and evaluations.
Cultivate a creative learning environment and maintain a safe, inviting, and nurturing space for students, staff, and the community.
Set and maintain classroom behavior standards and uphold District discipline policies.
Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Strengthen parent and community partnerships and foster positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and community members.
Be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the regular instructional day when required or requested under reasonable terms.
Maintain accurate and complete records required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.
Maintain and improve professional competence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
