About The Position

Scoular’s High School Operations Internship immerses high school students in the daily operations of one of the company’s facilities across North America. Interns learn the grain-handling business, promote a culture of safety, and interact with producers. They learn from experienced operations leaders in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and work throughout the week in conjunction with their school schedule.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a high school student in Kansas.
• At least 16 years of age.
• Action-oriented and enjoys hands-on projects rather than desk-based work.
• Willingness to learn and apply innovative technology.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Leadership experience in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government.
• Active in giving back to the community at school, in the hometown, or globally.
• Available to work throughout the week in conjunction with the school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Learn the operations of a grain-handling facility while keeping results and safety top of mind.
• Learn and apply safety policies and procedures to help ensure employee safety and protect company assets.
• Build connections with clientele by providing exceptional customer service and personalized interactions, using technology and effective communication strategies.
• Learn from experienced operations leaders in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
