About The Position

The High School Summer Intern Program is a structured, short-term opportunity designed to provide students with exposure to real-world business functions. Interns will rotate through different teams and work in small groups to learn how departments operate, observe day-to-day workflows, and collaborate on a guided project. This program is focused on learning, exploration, and professional development, giving students early insight into careers across functions such as Engineering, HR, Lab Operations, Finance and Legal. What You Will Learn: How different business functions operate and collaborate, Exposure to real-world tools, processes, and workplace environments, Communication, teamwork, and presentation skills, Foundational understanding of professional expectations and workplace dynamics.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in high school (ages 16–18 preferred, in compliance with labor guidelines)
  • Strong interest in learning about business, healthcare, or related fields
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to ask questions and engage in discussions
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Positive attitude and professionalism
  • Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location (100% onsite)

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in areas such as Engineering, HR, Science, or Law
  • Participation in school clubs, projects, or extracurricular activities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in team meetings, shadowing opportunities, and group discussions
  • Learn basic concepts, terminology, and workflows within assigned functions
  • Collaborate with a small group to understand and map a team process
  • Conduct informational conversations with team members to gain insights
  • Organize findings and contribute to a group presentation
  • Present key learnings, observations, and ideas at the end of 6 week rotation
