About The Position

The Geometry Instructor is responsible for providing engaging instruction that helps high school students explore complex geometric concepts and develop deeper understanding of geometric relationships through logical reasoning and formal mathematical arguments. The course focuses on seven key areas of Geometry: Logic and Proofs; Points, Lines, Angles, and Planes; Triangles; Quadrilaterals and Other Polygons; Circles; Transformations; and Three-Dimensional Solids. The instructor will support students in experiencing mathematics as a meaningful, connected, and practical subject while strengthening their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This course is offered for High School Credit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A current and valid Indiana State Educator License in the appropriate subject area
  • Experience teaching and working with high school students
