About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is seeking a High School Environmental Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other assigned duties. KIPP Bold City High School emphasizes student voice and choice, offering various academic options including honors classes, Advanced Placement classes for all, and career/technical education. The school seeks teachers who align with these philosophies and are flexible to meet student interests. The position is located at the McDuff campus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification
• At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
• Possesses a deep commitment to creating an inclusive, healthy, and empowering community for our students.
• Passing a background check, as required by law

Nice To Haves

• FLDOE Certified in Biology 6-12
• Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress)
• ESOL Endorsement
• Two or more years of secondary teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
• Experience with teaching honors level or AP level courses in a high school
