About The Position

This position provides leadership, coordination, and instruction for the high school color guard. The Assistant Sponsor will work under the direction of the Band Director to teach and refine color guard routines, conduct after-school practices, and assist in the design of flags and costumes. This role is crucial for the success of the marching band and color guard seasons.

Requirements

• Experience with high school and/or drum corps.

Responsibilities

• Assist band director in the instruction of all color guard activities and practices per approved schedule from the band director.
• Teach and refine the color guard routine.
• Provide after school practices per approved schedule from the band director.
• Assist band director in designing of flags and costumes.
• Other duties as assigned.
