About The Position

The High Risk Trader Onboarding Analyst is an operational investigator on the Onboarding & Identity Operations team. The role reviews elevated-risk Identity Verification (IDV) exceptions, performs Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and conducts financial crime screenings across global trader accounts. It serves as an operational intake point for elevated-risk profiles, investigating Tier-2 escalations that exceed standard verification logic, including suspected synthetic identities, document tampering, tax discrepancies, and potential sanctions hits. The analyst clears routine screening alerts, prepares structured case packages for Enforcement review, and escalates novel fraud vectors or complex corporate entities to Senior High Risk Analysts. The role works within established operating frameworks and investigative templates, maintaining audit-ready case records and supporting improvements to EDD workflows. The working environment ranges from fully remote to hybrid.

  • Strong written communication skills and a track record of authoring concise, objective, and defensible case narratives.
  • Operational discipline and sound judgment to evaluate qualitative risk signals within structured SOPs and determine when and how to escalate edge cases.
  • Acute visual and analytical attention to detail to identify document alteration, metadata inconsistencies, and synthetic identity markers.
  • Ability to independently manage high-priority investigation queues and collaborate asynchronously with remote compliance, legal, and operational teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document case notes accurately and clearly summarize issues for escalation.

  • Maintain precise, audit-ready case notes and rationale logs in internal case management systems for QA benchmarks and internal compliance audits.
