About The Position

Operate a stand-up reach forklift in a freezer warehouse to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pay includes a $21 base rate, a $1 shift differential, and a $3 weekend incentive.

The position involves working in cold storage conditions and using company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. It requires high-reach forklift experience, the ability to lift at least 40 pounds, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends.

Requirements

• High-reach forklift experience is required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds/18 kilograms; the weight may be greater depending on the facility.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks to place them in racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height and prepare them for outbound shipment.
• Choose and record food-item materials, weight, counts, and condition using a Radio Frequency (RF) system.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.
• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
• Follow applicable regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
