About The Position

This course will explore the rise of the Mongol Empire, focusing on Genghis Khan's reputation as one of history's greatest warriors and the leader of the largest contiguous empire. Topics may include the horse culture of nomadic tribes, relations with China, the Silk Road, religious accommodations, the character of the Mongol Empire, and military tactics during the 13th century.
