About The Position

Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) – In-Center. This role offers a predictable, deeply rewarding career specialty away from the chaotic pace of generalized floor nursing. As an In-Center Hemodialysis RN, you will become the vital lifeline for chronic illness patients, mastering an incredibly sophisticated blend of advanced medical technology and long-term, relationship-driven clinical care. The role involves specialized learning and qualifications through a comprehensive training course, working with advanced technology and resources, autonomy and measurable impact in developing and executing individualized nursing care plans, and opportunities for leadership and influence through orienting new staff, participating in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects, and shaping clinic workflows.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Approximately one year of general nursing experience
A current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Illinois
Current, valid CPR Healthcare Recognition from the American Heart Association
A valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation for standard business travel/attendance
Basic computer literacy for modern charting systems

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health-related field
Prior ICU/CCU background
Existing hemodialysis experience

Responsibilities

Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments
Administer medications safely within your scope
Perform access care
Provide vital education to patients and families coping with chronic illness
Oversee, sanitize, and maintain specialized dialysis equipment
Report technical or supply issues promptly to ensure seamless unit flow
Partner directly with the Unit Medical Director, physicians, and clinic coordinators
Support unit scheduling and mentor incoming team members
