About The Position
The Hematology & Oncology Physician will provide outpatient hematology and oncology care in Fort Myers, Florida, on a locum tenens basis. Coverage begins October 8, 2026, and continues ongoing. The schedule is three weeks per month, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no call or weekend duties. Rounding and phone consultations are not included. Physician Assistant, MA, and RN support staff are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board certified in Hematology & Oncology.
- Active Florida license.
- Clean background and clean NPDB.
- Must meet procedure log requirements.
- Up-to-date CV and Lee Attestation Form required.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care to patients.
- Manage treatment plans, including chemotherapy and supportive care.
- Collaborate with Physician Assistant, MA, and RN staff to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Follow the Monday-through-Friday clinic schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
