About The Position

Seeking a Hematology & Oncology physician for a Locum Tenens position in Martinsville, VA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services and is for supplemental coverage from June 15-19. The physician will work Monday-Thursday from 8a-5p and Friday from 8a-12p, totaling 40 hours per week over 4-5 days. The call schedule is one weeknight per week and alternate weekends, with a low volume (2-5 calls per week) of limited and consultative phone-only calls. The patient volume is 12-15 patients per day. The oncology center is supported by 6 RNs, 1 APP, and 6 Office Staff, with 13 beds in the department. The EMR system used is Aria. The oncology center has 3 additional established permanent providers. Hospital privileges are required.

Requirements

• Active VA License
• BC/BE in Hematology & Oncology
• BLS certification
• ABLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Hospital privileges required

• Physician living within driving distance is preferred
