This is a full-time Hematology/Oncology Physician role based in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The position is open due to growth and a transition from rotational coverage, requiring a dedicated provider. The role primarily involves outpatient clinical duties, including consults, follow-ups, chemotherapy management, infusion oversight, and bone marrow biopsies. The case mix is approximately 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology, with common cases involving breast, prostate, and some melanoma. Hospital work is minimal, with no formal call and only occasional non-urgent consults with flexible timing. The physician will work in a brand new cancer center equipped with a full infusion center, onsite radiation oncology (hospital-run), in-house lab/phlebotomy, and imaging. Strong support staff includes an Oncology RN (lead/manager), an additional RN, an MA, and front desk/admin personnel, along with APP support (1 APP per site + 1 rotating). The schedule is currently Monday-Wednesday for clinic days in St. Thomas, with Thursday-Friday dedicated to infusion/admin, with potential to grow into 4-5 days/week. Working hours are typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a patient volume of approximately 20-25 per day. There is flexibility for alternative schedules, such as 2 weeks on/off, for the right candidate.
