About The Position
JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hematology & Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Cooperstown, NY • Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: June 1, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 days per week (full-time equivalent) COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage until permanent hire PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 12–15 patients per day • Case Mix: Approximately 80% Oncology and 20% Hematology (benign and malignant conditions) FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard oncology clinic resources • Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Radiology for bone marrow procedures • Support Staff Available: 1 NP and nursing support PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 120 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Oncology and hematology consults • Chemotherapy and treatment management • Bone marrow procedures (preferred but not required) JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active NY license required • Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology • DEA: Not Specified • Certifications: Not Specified • Experience: Not Specified • Other Qualifications: Must meet all immunization and credentialing requirements DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care • Manage treatment plans for oncology and hematology patients • Collaborate with NP and clinical staff • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NY license required
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Must meet all immunization and credentialing requirements
