About The Position

As our Hematology / Oncology Physician, you will join an established clinical team at Dignity Health’s Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), playing a pivotal role in the continued success and community health impact of our Oncology & Hematology clinic at Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria, California. Every day you will provide comprehensive, expert clinical care to address the complex needs of patients navigating cancer diagnoses and blood disorders. Operating out of the premier regional hub for advanced oncology services, you will leverage conventional medical technology and complementary therapies to manage treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and specialized care plans. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of onsite Nurse Navigators, supportive services, and active Cancer Committees to deliver highly coordinated, personalized patient pathways. To be successful in this role, you will be a BC/BE fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong passion for community-based cancer care, strong clinical skills, and a deep commitment to delivering care centered around humankindness.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
Fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology
Active or eligible license in the state of California
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
