About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Providence, RI. This role involves providing both inpatient and outpatient care within a hospital setting. The coverage period is from September 28, 2026, to March 29, 2027. The physician will manage a daily outpatient volume of 18-22 patients and variable inpatient consults. Daily rounding on inpatients is required, taking approximately 1-2 hours. The position also includes night and weekend call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active RI Medical License (or willing to obtain)
- DEA required
- CSR required
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
- Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care
- Perform biopsies as needed
- Round daily on inpatients (1-2 hours)
- Take night call (5pm-8am)
- Take weekend call (1-2 weekends per month)
- Manage patient volume of 18-22 outpatients per day and variable inpatient consults
