About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Hematologist-Medical Oncologist to join our staff. The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology since 2021. The program is also a member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials. The program has a collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists, including an active weekly tumor board. The program has a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners. Join an established group of Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians with 1:6 shared remote call and a dedicated inpatient oncologist. This is an outpatient-only position within the Bassett Medical Group, a multispecialty group with over 500 practitioners. Requirements

  • MD, DO or MBBS
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Completion of an accredited USA Hematology-Oncology Fellowship
  • NYS Licensure
  • BLS Certification Required
  • DEA Required

Responsibilities

  • 1:6 shared remote call
