Hematology & Oncology Physician
About The Position
Locum tenens Hematology & Oncology Physician providing outpatient medical oncology and hematology services in Greensboro, North Carolina. Coverage is scheduled from January 18, 2027, through September 13, 2027. Clinical shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 24-hour and night call as needed in a shared rotation with nine other providers (1:9 call ratio). The physician will care for adult patients, seeing approximately 15–18 patients per day, including 1–2 new patients and two benign hematology patients. The case mix includes prostate, kidney, bladder, and benign hematology. The facility uses Epic and provides support from APPs, pharmacists, and nurses. Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available. Travel is covered by the client.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina license and Universal License (IMLC).
- Board certified or board eligible in Hematology Oncology.
- DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- CSR required.
- Clean background required.
- Hospital privileges required.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient medical oncology and hematology services.
- Manage a patient volume of 15–18 patients per day, including new consultations and follow-ups.
- Focus on prostate, kidney, bladder, and benign hematology cases.
- Participate in a shared 24-hour and night-call rotation with nine other providers.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, pharmacists, and nurses.
