About The Position

A leading community health system is seeking a BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist to join its growing team in Findlay, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to practice with a high degree of physician autonomy while having access to a comprehensive network of specialists, advanced services, and a dedicated care team. The health system is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care while creating a welcoming environment for patients, families, and caregivers. It is a 150-bed community hospital, a Level III Trauma Center, with more than 3,000 associates serving an eight-county region. The practice offers a 4-day clinical schedule with 1 dedicated administrative day that can be worked remotely, 1:4 inpatient call, and the ability to help shape your patient mix and practice at the top of your license. The patient mix is 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology. The practice offers strong physician autonomy and a collaborative team environment with dedicated support including 1 RN and 1 MA per physician, plus 2 NPs. There is opportunity for both mentorship and professional growth, with new facilities and strong physician retention. An additional wRVU incentive is offered in addition to base compensation. A signing bonus and relocation assistance are available, as is CME stipend and loan assistance. The employer is also PSLF-qualifying.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
  • Eligible for an Ohio medical license

Responsibilities

  • Practice Hematology/Oncology with a 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology patient mix.
  • Manage common diagnoses including breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancers.
  • Participate in a 1:4 inpatient call rotation.
  • Utilize a care-team model with a dedicated RN and MA, supported by 2 NPs.
  • Work a 4-day clinic schedule with 1 remote administrative day.
  • Provide comprehensive care utilizing onsite services such as Radiation Oncology, Infusion Therapy, Laboratory and Pharmacy, Genetic Counseling, Clinical & Financial Navigation, Nutrition Services, Clinical Trials, Tumor Registry, GYN Oncology, and Social Work.
  • Collaborate with a robust surgical program and specialists in ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Pulmonology, and Gastroenterology.
