About The Position

Hematologist/Oncologist People facing blood cancers and complex hematologic disease need a physician who turns evidence into a clear plan and stays with them through treatment. You will lead diagnosis, therapy, and longitudinal care that improves survival, limits complications, and gives patients and families a path they can trust. Your judgment will shape outcomes at the most vulnerable moments and set the standard for how this practice delivers oncology care.

Requirements

  • MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
  • Active or obtainable state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Independent management of malignant and benign hematology in both clinic and hospital settings.
  • Proven coordination with referring physicians and clear case presentation in tumor board.
  • Current life-support certification as required by the practice, plus disciplined documentation and pathway use.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and stage hematologic malignancies and non-malignant blood disorders with timely, guideline-aligned workups that shorten time to first treatment.
  • Design and direct individualized plans—systemic therapy, clinical trials, and supportive care—that meet agreed response and toxicity targets.
  • Lead multidisciplinary review so pathology, pharmacy, radiation, and surgical decisions are aligned before each critical milestone.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient panels with documented continuity that reduces unplanned admissions and treatment delays.
  • Counsel patients and families on prognosis, options, and goals of care so shared decisions are recorded and followed.
  • Advance quality and research measures—pathway adherence, trial enrollment, and outcome review—that leadership can assess each quarter.
