About The Position

Starling Oncology is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for its FlexCare team, providing short-term coverage and continuity of care across outpatient clinics. FlexCare Physicians are integrated members of the organization’s teams, with consistent scheduling, guaranteed hours, and competitive compensation. The role offers exposure to diverse patient populations, practice models, and multidisciplinary teams, and supports community-based access to cancer care.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
• Active or eligible medical licensure in one or more of the organization’s service states: California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, or Florida.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary, value-based care environments.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of post-fellowship experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based hematology/oncology care to adult patients.
• Collaborate with local clinic teams, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to deliver seamless patient experiences.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical trials, and Starling Oncology quality initiatives.
• Adapt to varying clinic workflows while maintaining the organization’s standards of care.
• Support mentorship and training within local teams when assigned.
• Travel to clinics needing short-term physician coverage and support.
