About The Position

The Helper 4 is responsible for carrying out helper duties in support of an assigned crew. The role includes determining material needs from blueprints and specifications, ordering materials, coordinating equipment, managing work orders and account numbers, and receiving and distributing materials and equipment. The position requires at least three years of industrial construction or maintenance experience and knowledge of maintenance and construction materials. Physical requirements include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.
• Knowledge of maintenance and construction materials.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including the location, quantities and sizes of required materials.
• Order materials when required.
• Schedule equipment through the proper protocol.
• Set up and charge work orders and add account numbers.
• Receive and inspect materials and equipment, help unload them, and distribute them.
