About The Position

The Helpdesk Technician will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all information regarding tribal and casino operations, management, and staff. This role involves maintaining department records, generating correspondence and reports, and managing office supply inventory. The technician will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and handle Level 1 trouble calls, taking detailed messages and solving problems. Responsibilities also include receiving and distributing mail, researching information, scheduling meetings, assisting department managers, and performing other assigned duties. The role requires meeting attendance guidelines, adhering to policies, and serving as an outstanding example for Downstream Casino Resort.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year work related experience supporting Windows computing environments preferred.
  • Must have excellent grammatical skills.
  • Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, hands-on professional with a pleasant personality and the ability to interact with coworkers.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work in an intense and fast-paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Post secondary education preferred.
  • One to three years of administrative/clerical work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity with all written and oral information regarding tribal and casino operations, management, and staff.
  • Maintain department and administrative records and files and generate correspondence and requested reports.
  • Maintain inventory of department office supplies and requisition items.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environmental with supervisors and staff.
  • Answer Level 1 trouble calls as needed. Take detailed and accurate messages and take initiative to solve problems or provide requested information.
  • Receive, open, and distribute incoming mail as directed. Research information to answer or respond to mail and/or correspondence.
  • Schedule meetings when directed. Ensure all participants are notified, equipment requirements identified and scheduled, and other amenities furnished as required.
  • Assist the department managers as needed.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
