About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Help Desk Technician on the Horizon Program to support the United States Space Force's Program Executive Office for Space Domain Aware and Combat Power portfolio in El Segundo, CA. This role is ideal for individuals interested in computers, software testing, and information technology within the Space and Ground systems field.

Requirements

  • Experience in computers, software testing, or information technology.
  • Experience in the Space and Ground systems field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical call center support for complex environments, operating systems, servers and workstations.
  • Coordinates and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Schedules, installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and reports issues to system owners to ensure optimum performance levels and system integrity while minimizing downtime.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Assist system owners with hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Assist Tier 2 administrators with the development, implementation and promotion of standard operating procedures and schedules.
