About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level Help Desk Student Assistant to join the Computing Help Desk team under Academic Technology. This position starts at $15 per hour and is located on UF's campus at the HUB, 1765 Stadium Road. The role involves providing assistance via phone, email, live chat, and walk-in consulting. UF Information Technology (UFIT) supports teaching, learning, research, and service across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems. Student assistants are expected to deliver excellent client service to the UF community, including faculty, staff, and students. Ideal candidates will have good communication skills, be eager to learn, and possess a customer-service orientation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be a UF Student eligible to work on campus
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience

• Comfortable with technology
• Ability to commit to working through Summer 2027 or beyond

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with Gatorlink account issues such as account creation, password resets, and multi-factor authentication.
• Assisting with email, wireless, and VPN support.
• Helping triage issues to better assist faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
