About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level Help Desk Student Assistant to join the Computing Help Desk team under Academic Technology. This position offers a starting pay of $15 per hour and is located on UF's campus at the HUB, 1765 Stadium Road. The role involves providing assistance via phone, email, live chat, and walk-in consulting to the UF community of faculty, staff, and students. UFIT enables teaching, learning, research, and service through state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems. Ideal candidates should have good communication skills, be eager to learn, and possess a customer-service orientation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be a UF student eligible to work on campus
• Must be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS)
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with Gatorlink account issues such as account creation, password resets, and multi-factor authentication.
• Assisting with email, wireless, and VPN support.
• Helping triage issues to better assist faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
