Lordco Auto Parts is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver for their Parksville Distribution Warehouse. Requirements

Valid Class 5 license
Experience driving a 5-ton truck
Ability to lift items up to 50lbs
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Time management and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Class 3 license
Manual and powered forklift and pallet jack experience
Clean drivers abstract preferred
Dangerous goods experience
Electronic log usage

Responsibilities

Operate 3-ton, 5-ton, 10 ton or tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with Shippers, Managers and customers.
Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage.
Report any incidents or accidents to the HD Truck Manager.
Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
Ensure the Delivery Store is left secure, locked up and armed.
Use Checkmate App to report in on the set times.
Comply with company policies and procedures giving special attention to ensure safety and health regulations in the warehouse and stores are followed and enforced.
Other duties as assigned by management.
