About The Position

NED, LLC. is a large heavy equipment dealership with over 30 years of industry experience in equipment sales, rentals, and customer support. Through mergers and acquisitions, NED, LLC. has grown through multiple acquisitions of independent heavy equipment dealerships, including Four Seasons Equipment, MAY-RHI, Earthmovers Construction Equipment, Richardson Service 1991, Inc., Grove River Machinery, and L & N Supply Company Inc. Today the company is re-branded under one unified name, NED – National Equipment Dealers. This position will be responsible for servicing off-road heavy construction equipment such as excavators, material handlers, wheel loaders, and many more off-highway trucks/equipment. We represent some of the top brands in the industry including, Hyundai, Construction Equipment, Bell Off-Road Trucks, Manitou, Sakai, Dynapac and other products.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have 8 plus years of hands-on experience preferably in heavy equipment
  • Show proficiency in hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engines
  • Show proficiency in Diagnostics and manufacture diagnostic software
  • Show proficiency in Hydraulics and repair of hydraulics
  • Show proficiency in Electrical systems
  • Show proficiency in Pneumatic
  • Show proficiency in Diesel engines
  • Five plus years of experience in the heavy equipment service industry
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, MVR and background check

  • Management or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Team player, and who can work with other shop technicians to accomplish projects in an efficient manner

Responsibilities

  • Manage all repair and maintenance work for customer machines and NED rental fleet equipment
  • Supervise service department personnel
  • Managing customer relations and service invoicing process
  • Financial management of the service department
  • Manage staffing and retention of service personnel.
  • Coordinate training for technicians
  • Acquiring new service business and estimate repair costs accurately and timely
  • Manage warranty claim submission process with manufacturers
