About The Position

LaRiviere, Inc. is looking for skilled heavy equipment operators for heavy civil work in the Lewiston, Idaho and Pullman Washington area. Operators will be operating a wide variety of equipment including loaders, excavators, rollers, dozers, bobcats, water trucks and will be expected to assist with labor tasks when not operating.

Requirements

Heavy Equipment Operating Experience: 3 years
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to operate a variety of construction heavy equipment.
Must have reliable transportation to area job sites
Strong work ethic and the willingness to report to work on time.
Continuously and frequently bending, climbing stairs, or steps, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance), repeated push / pull motion, simple grasping, fine manipulation.

Nice To Haves

5 years of Heavy Equipment Operating Experience
CDL a plus

Responsibilities

Operate construction related heavy equipment (Excavator, Skid-steer, bulldozer, backhoe, front end loader, grader, articulating haul truck, etc.) proficiently and safely at all times and in all types of conditions.
Communicate effectively with ground personnel and/or other operators using universal hand signals.
Assist with manual labor activities as necessary.
Work safely around other moving machinery, exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
Work in all weather conditions.
Comply with all state and federal laws.
Complete a thorough walk around and daily equipment checklist.
Attend and participate in regular safety meetings.
Work and communicate well in a team-oriented environment.
Report any safety concerns to your immediate supervisor.
Report hours and job duties correctly on daily timecards.
Keep equipment clean. Good housekeeping is a MUST.
