About The Position

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Lakeland, Florida. The Operator is responsible for the proper care and operation of heavy equipment, including excavators and skid steers. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial setting.
Current, valid driver's license.
Knowledge of proper heavy equipment operation and applicable safety standards.
Ability to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Sufficient strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions of the role.
Ability to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
Full range of motion consistent with age.
Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance.
Ability to adequately hear and respond to voice commands, employee alerts, alarms, and other job-related noises.
Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
Safety/steel-toe shoes are required.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers.
Service equipment and perform general and preventative maintenance.
Transport and deliver materials.
Coordinate and plan routes in an industrial setting, with a focus on working safely.
Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking tire pressure and oil and water levels.
