About The Position

CMC is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The role helps maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area, supports CMC’s safety programs and culture, and may include other tasks assigned by a supervisor. CMC offers training and advancement opportunities in the steel, construction reinforcement and ground stabilization industries.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Previous experience operating a forklift, skid steer, loader, or similar equipment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a recycling and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
• Operate production equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
