About The Position

Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven, Heavy Equipment Operator, to work at our Central Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA. The pay range is $28.00/HR with an increase to $29.00/HR after 90-days pending a positive performance review. The schedule is Wednesday-Sunday with shifts from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Requirements

938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer experience.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 500-hours of Heavy Equipment Operating experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of computer skills.
Must pass pre-employment drug panel screening, motor vehicle report, & criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

Efficiently and safely operate 938 CAT Loader, 308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe, Yard Truck and 53ft chassis/ Trailer.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
