About The Position
Primoris Heavy Civil is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team in heavy highway construction. If you have experience operating heavy machinery and are passionate about building the infrastructure that keeps communities connected, we want to hear from you! Heavy equipment operators will need to have experience operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Experience operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.
- Previous Operator of construction equipment, or other related industrial experience preferred.
- Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently in a team and safety focused environment.
- Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
- Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment inspections.
- May be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment (such as greasing/lubing).
