About The Position

Primoris Heavy Civil is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join their growing team in heavy highway construction for their Belton, TX location. This role involves operating heavy machinery and contributing to the infrastructure that connects communities. The position requires experience with various heavy equipment and a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

Experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, GOMACO paving spreaders, and compactors.
Previous experience as an operator of construction equipment, or other related industrial experience preferred.
Experience in a labor-intensive position.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Ability to work independently in a team and safety-focused environment.
Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.

Mechanical inclination is an asset.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, GOMACO paving spreaders, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform equipment inspections.
May be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment (such as greasing/lubing).
