About The Position

McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Morrisville, PA facility. This role is vital in transforming organic waste into high-quality compost, mulch, and soil products. The operator will safely operate heavy equipment to move, process, blend, screen, and transport materials while maintaining production, safety, and quality standards. This is hands-on work for someone who takes pride in operating equipment efficiently, working safely, and contributing to a team environment. McGill Environmental Systems has been transforming organic waste into valuable compost, mulch, and soil products for over 30 years, supporting healthier communities and a cleaner environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience operating Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, or similar heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation to the Morrisville, PA facility
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Dependable attendance and work ethic
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work on uneven terrain
  • Ability to climb on and off equipment throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work around dust, dirt, mud, noise, odors, and moving machinery
  • Ability to wear required PPE and respiratory protection when required

Responsibilities

  • Operate Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Grinders, Screeners, and other heavy equipment
  • Load trucks and transport materials throughout the facility
  • Perform blending and material processing operations
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and equipment checks
  • Identify and report equipment issues requiring maintenance
  • Support production goals while maintaining product quality standards
  • Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs
  • Maintain a productive and efficient workflow
