Heavy Equipment Operator, A/DACG
About The Position
Akima Support Operations is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to work in Fort Hood, TX. Operators operate heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments. Operators use equipment to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. Operators may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.
Requirements
- 4 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures.
- U.S. Army 88M series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License.
- Valid Driver's License.
- High School Diploma / GED.
Responsibilities

Benefits
- Hourly Compensation: $22.57.
- Hourly Health & Welfare: $5.09
- Differential pay for night shift work will range from $1 up to 10% of base hourly rate.
