About The Position

WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator I to work at its waste disposal site in Waco, Texas. The role operates heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, and contributes to the operation of WM recycling and waste disposal facilities. The work follows strict safety procedures and requires equipment operating skill and determination.

The normal job setting is a shop or field, with the position based at a waste disposal site. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Starting pay is $22 per hour. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
• Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
