Heavy Equipment Mechanic
About The Position
Edgewood Properties, a leading real estate development and property management company founded in 1992 with corporate headquarters in New Jersey, is experiencing significant growth. With ongoing construction and development plans, their apartment portfolio of over 6,000 units is expected to double in the next couple of years and exceed 12,000 units in five years. Due to this rapid portfolio expansion and a strategy to develop and hold properties, Edgewood Properties is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic with at least 3 years of industry experience. This role will be based at their South Plainfield, NJ office.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in heavy equipment repair
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostic experience
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Diagnose with scanners and diagnostic programs
- Valid NJ Drivers License

- CDL a plus
Responsibilities
- Repairs on all types of heavy construction equipment (Excavators, Bulldozers, End Dumps, Graders, Rollers, Backhoes, Skid Steers, Asphalt Equipment, etc.)
- Diagnose and repair Differentials, Hydraulic Systems, Motors, Transmissions, A/C Systems and Electrical Systems
- Preventative Maintenance work and schedules
