About The Position

This role supports the Shop Supervisor and involves maintaining and repairing equipment in the company’s maintenance and repair shop. The primary scope of the role includes making field service calls to repair equipment, working on-call rotation shifts for winter operations support, and troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling, and maintaining passenger vehicles, heavy trucks & trailers both on-site and within the shop.

Requirements

  • 421A Certification
  • Must have own tools
  • Mobile field service experience is needed.
  • Willing to work on equipment, trucks and small engines as required.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skill
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Versatile and resourceful problem solver.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GM, Ford pickups & Kenworth trucks will be an asset
  • Automotive experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Make field service calls to repair.
  • Work on call rotation shifts for winter operations support.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain passenger vehicles, heavy trucks & trailers on site and within the shop.
  • Perform safety certification inspections.
  • Comfortable using a computer, the internet, and other electronic resources.
