About The Position

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of stationery and mobile equipment throughout the facility. Their technical acumen will be key in trouble shooting, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and enhancing the equipment's performance, contributing significantly to the facilities’ success. The position requires the individual to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment including testing, diagnosis, hydraulic, brakes, electrical systems and modules, drive trains and axle/hub repairs.
Associate’s degree, technical degree in related field, or related experience.
5+ years of technical field-related experience specific to heavy equipment and related certifications.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Computer literate: Microsoft Applications and CMMS software.
Strong manufacturing knowledge and understanding of the procurement/supply chain process.

Nice To Haves

3+ years training employees in mobile heavy equipment preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment.

Schematic Reading Proficiency.

Operate CMMS system for work order management, scheduling, and inventory.
Assist in maintaining parts stocking levels to ensure proper parts are on hand.
