About The Position

ORE Rentals is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team. This is a full-time position with three locations in Quakertown, Easton, and Breinigsville. The role involves repairs and general maintenance to all rental and shop equipment, including internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane & hydraulic systems, track & aerial equipment, and heavy trucks/automotive. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment, be able to comprehend hydraulic and electrical schematics, and possess strong troubleshooting and technical skills. Communication skills are important for interacting with team members, vendors, and manufacturers. Safety and responsible work practices are essential.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with diesel engines and hydraulics
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in a team setting
• Ability to handle assorted tools safely
• Basic computer knowledge to open and close work orders
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. and infrequently lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Inspection License a plus

Responsibilities

• Experience in latest electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment
• Responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all rental and shop equipment: Internal Combustion Engines (both gas and diesel), DC Electrical Systems 12, 24, 48 volts, Propane & hydraulic systems, Track & Aerial Equipment, Heavy Trucks/Automotive
• Able to fully comprehend hydraulic and electrical schematics with a history of successful troubleshooting and technical experience
• Diagnose and troubleshoot: fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
• Must be able to communicate verbally and written in a service-oriented manner to fellow team members, vendors, and manufacturers for questions and support
• Perform work in a safe and responsible manner
