About The Position

Hunter Contracting Co. is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Fuel Lube Service Technician to service and maintain heavy construction equipment in both field and shop environments, sometimes with little or no supervision. The role involves traveling to various job sites to fuel equipment and perform preventive maintenance, while maintaining communication with shop and field teams and following company safety policies and management instructions. The technician must be able to operate equipment sufficiently to assess its proper operation and perform work in dusty or dirty surroundings while practicing safe work habits.

Requirements

Knowledge of machine maintenance procedures.
Ability to retrieve uncontaminated oil samples.
Ability to read and understand service manuals.
Own the tools necessary to perform the required services.
Ability to work in dusty or dirty surroundings while practicing good safety habits.
Effective communication and problem-resolution skills.
Ability to follow instructions and make decisions based on verifiable standards.
Attentive and active listening skills and ability to learn quickly on the job.
Meticulous, thorough, and detail-oriented approach to work.
Ability to prioritize work to meet goals or deadlines.
Clean Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
At least three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Fuel heavy construction equipment and perform preventive maintenance services.
