Heavy Equipment Field Technician
About The Position
Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join its team in the Bradley, Florida area. The role involves performing preventive maintenance inspections on powered equipment, completing selected equipment repairs, test driving vehicles, and helping train and assist other mechanics. The technician is also responsible for supporting a clean and safe work area. The position pays $36.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications, with weekly pay every Friday. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Benefits begin within 30 days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of hands-on heavy equipment mechanic experience.
- Undercarriage experience.
- A complete set of hand tools and a wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Pass a drug test and background check.
Nice To Haves
- CDL Class A or B.
- OEM training and/or ASE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections on all types of powered equipment.
- Perform selected repairs on equipment, including work involving components and systems.
- Test drive all types of vehicles.
- Train and assist other mechanics.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas.
