About The Position

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. (RMS) is seeking a Field Service Technician for its Duluth, Minnesota location. The technician serves as RMS’s service repair contact for customers in an assigned geographic area and may be dispatched to other areas as needed. The role requires quick response times and urgency when prioritizing customer repairs, along with high-quality work at customer job sites. RMS is a family-owned distributor of construction and mining equipment with sales and support operations throughout the Upper Midwest.

Requirements

• Five years of mechanical experience.
• Possess own tooling to perform the work.
• Ability to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.
• Desire to take action, improve, and be appreciative.
• Ability to engage respectfully with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
• Meet the listed physical requirements, including pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds, lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds, lifting bulky objects, and performing activities such as standing, walking, stair and ladder climbing, bending, kneeling, and sustained squatting.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or trade school education.
