About The Position

The Heavy Equipment Operator safely operates heavy equipment used to load/unload ISO containers and military equipment. This role is responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services daily and reporting all discrepancies to the lead and maintenance scheduler.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to work in difficult weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Valid Driver’s License (preferred Class A or B CDLs in order to operate the crane)

Responsibilities

• Keeping all heavy equipment assigned in good working condition by performing PMCS Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services.
• Ensuring inspections are conducted and discrepancies are corrected when possible or turned in to maintenance for repair.
• Loading and Off-loading 20/TEUs and other oversize equipment using the Kalmar/ Terex and Crane on the installation.
• Attending training as required.
• Performing other job-related duties as directed from supervisor.
