About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, is seeking Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operators to join their team. They specialize in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage, serving the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. This role offers a sign-on bonus for a limited time and drivers will keep their assigned truck. All drivers must have their own set of tools.

Requirements

Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
Current DOT Medical Card
Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
Clean driving record for the last 3 years
Able to pass a background check and drug test
All drivers must have their own set of tools.

Nice To Haves

Proven heavy-duty towing experience preferred
Mechanical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC
Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions
Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
Operate GPS mapping devices
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
