About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operators to join their team in Orlando. This family-owned business, established in 1960, specializes in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage, serving the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. They are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is available for a limited time, with an application deadline of September 30, 2026. Drivers will be assigned their own truck and must provide their own tools.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record for the last 3 years
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
• All drivers must have their own set of tools.

Nice To Haves

• Proven heavy-duty towing experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC
• Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions
• Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
• Operate GPS mapping devices
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
