About The Position

This contact center role involves interacting with clients' customers daily, providing troubleshooting support over the phone and via email. The position requires computer proficiency, great typing skills, and attention to detail for database management. Candidates must be able to clearly and concisely communicate diagnostic information. The role focuses on medium/heavy duty truck component failures, both mechanical and electrical, and provides customer service and problem resolution for technical and warranty issues.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency with great typing skills.
  • Detailed oriented for database management.
  • Ability to communicate diagnostic information clearly and concisely over the phone.
  • Medium/heavy duty truck component background.
  • Strong level of mechanical and/or electrical knowledge of heavy truck systems or automotive systems.
  • Strong spatial relationship skills.
  • Understanding of mechanical operations regarding component functions and failure analysis.
  • Strong background in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of wiring schematics and electrical diagnostic principles.
  • Practical application experience in automotive work, including hands-on mechanical and/or electrical product experience (e.g., Axles, brakes, drivelines, transmissions, trailer products, transfer cases, wheel-ends, and electrical experience).
  • Working mechanical knowledge of Class 7 and 8 “Over the Road Trucks”.
  • Mechanical or electrical skills with trucks or cars.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Automotive and Heavy Truck certifications.
  • College degree in the automotive or heavy-duty trucking industry from accredited colleges and universities is preferred.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Time management and multitasking ability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot truck component failures mechanically and electrically over the phone.
  • Provide customer service and problem resolution for technical/warranty issues over the phone and via email.
  • Communicate diagnostic information clearly and concisely.
  • Manage and update a database with detailed information.
  • Diagnose technical issues with truck components such as axles, brakes, drivelines, transfer cases, and electrical systems.
