Heavy-Duty Mechanic
About The Position
Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics are needed in the Richmond, VA region to work with a large service, rental, and parts distributor supporting the Construction, Mining, and Recycling industries. The role offers the opportunity to work with a local team of experienced technicians in the shop and on client sites. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with a 7:00 a.m. start time and overtime. Work takes place in the shop and on-site at yards. Compensation is $28.00–$32.00 per hour. Full benefits begin after 30 days, and candidates are subject to background checks and drug screening.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience with large stationary or mobile machinery.
- Comfort with hydraulics, welding, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and diesel engines.
- Valid driver's license.
- Own tools; specialty tools are provided.
- Ability to work independently.
- Successful candidates must complete background checks and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Background with screening, crushing, conveyors, trommels, or shredders is a strong asset.
